The studio co-founders, Ania and Michael, enjoy playing multiplayer games from many genres such as role-playing games, simulation games, and arcade games. Having hundreds of hours of playtime with players of varying ages and skill levels, both can appreciate the art of making an appropriately accessible and challenging experience. They are both experienced IT professionals who have been talking about doing a project together for many years. North Pole Workshop will be their first commercial release.
Created by two co-op gamers that wanted to create an experience that can accommodate different gaming groups. If you are looking to chat with your friends while you have a shared objective this game has that. And if you are looking to test your friendships to the max and see who has the metal to make toys, this game has that (also this is a pun because metal is a raw crafting material in the game). Ania and Michael enjoy multiplayer games like Overcooked!, Valheim, 7 Days to Die, Baldur’s Gate 3, and many others. Some of their gaming friends have young kids, and they thought it would be great to develop a family-friendly game about making toys. There are very few family-friendly cooperative games like North Pole Workshop.
